Middle East and Splendour.... other band interviews coming soon!!

So it is the day after Splendour in the grass and although I’m stating the obvious…I must say what a flippin’ awsome festival!! Set in the perfect venue, good vibe, good people and such an eclectic mix of music and musicians.

But firstly I must chat a little about the 'The Middle East' again. So it seems that while their music is beautiful and excitingly unique, the band themselves are completely media shy. They didn't do any press at Splendour and were impossible to get a hold of. It's unfortunate for a band with such talent to be so elusive. However I hope if this is the path they chose that it works and that even without publicity the masses can still get to hear their music and that their success will grow. Their set at Splendour was just as magical as their recordings and more. They were only a relatively small band on towards the start of the day but their music is just so captivating to watch and the entire band really feels what they are doing and really gets into it. We may have some footage from the set for you to check out too…

So get excited!! Although we didn’t get to bring you an interview with ‘The Middle East’ we did get an interview with UK Indie/electro pop band ‘Friendly Fires’ and Aussie beauty Holly Throsby. Both were lovely to talk to and put on a great show! I’ll post that up as soon as it’s edited!

Peace n Love
